Born and raised around San Francisco, my early love of maps and and passion for natural sciences led me to the University of British Columbia, from which I graduated in 2015 with a Geography degree.
I then worked for two years on the GIS data pipeline at Apple Maps, including work on data quality teams instrumental to the
ground-up revamp of the entire maps project. A break between contracts allowed me to travel, and I was fortunate enough to do some
volunteer GIS work in the Atlantic Rainforest in Brazil.
Returning to Apple for a second contract in 2017, I was immersed into a data-rich environment that piqued my interest in expanding my analytical skills. In late 2017, I enrolled in Springboard's intensive Data Science Career track and graduated after seven months of intensive study, including work on two capstone projects [
broadband access,
highway accidents].
As of Spetember 2018 I have been working at
Redaptive as an Energy Savings Analyst doing exciting work at the intersection of energy efficiency, IoT and data science.
